A management professional with more than 20 years’ experience, including the last eight years in NFP disability. Annie encourages her team at Civic to not just think outside the box, but to challenge how we think, imagine, and navigate alternative perspectives. “Our purpose anchors us and we always have a guiding star to ensure we stay true to our moral compass.” Outside Civic, Annie is also known as an adventurer and keen beekeeper, giving away her delicious honey for free!
Chief Financial Officer
A Chartered Accountant and member of the Governance Institute with broad international commercial and strategic experience.
Mike has been with Civic for the past three years, bringing with him a long history of senior roles in the sector. Originally from the UK, Mike also holds a degree from Oxford University. Now settled in Australia, Mike is known around Civic for his quirky catch phrases and balances his life with his passion for cycling.
General Manager Social Enterprise & Inclusion
Nicole has more than 19 years’ experience working in the NFP sector, working across multiple leadership roles.
Nicole also has a passion for travel, which she’s managed to combine with her working life, assisting 20 Civic customers fulfill their dream of travelling. “I’ve dedicated over 20 years to trying to make a difference in people’s lives through my work and volunteer contributions, and to combine my love of traveling to support others.”
General Manager Civic Industries
Peter brings more than 12 years’ experience in warehouse production in the disability sector to his role.
In his role at Civic Industries, Peter uses his experience to oversee a diverse workforce, and enjoys delivering outstanding results to business partners such as Amazon and NSW Health.
Outside Civic, Peter is known to enjoy all things motor sports.
General Manager Digital Experience
With more than eight years’ experience working in the not-for-profit sector, Demelza uses her proven skills in project management to drive digital experience and systems.
“My role evolves with technology, so I am always looking for ways to deliver a better experience for customers and staff.” Outside her working life, Demelza is a certified learning addict, and is currently enrolled in an MBA (Social Impact).
General Manager Impact & Partnerships
Kate brings with her more than 20 years’ senior experience in the NFP sector.
In her role at Civic, Kate is responsible for leading discovery and innovation through human centred design, telling the story through marketing, comms and partnerships and creating moments that matter through customer experience for people with a disability. Just as she’s recognised for her passion for work, Kate is equally known for her killer knowledge of musicals and insatiable appetite for Fishermans’ Friends.
General Manager Service Improvement
Carrie has more than 25 years’ experience in the NFP sector and has been with Civic for the past four years.
“Working at Civic gives me the perfect marriage of my two professional passions: wanting to champion human rights of people with disabilities; and working for a not-for-profit.” Carrie shares the same birth date as Queen Victoria and her secret wish is that she was Jane Austen in a previous life – there is no charm equal to tenderness of heart, and perhaps, that’s why she’s dedicated her life to making a difference.

Kylie joined Civic in 2019, bringing with her more than 15 years senior experience in the disability and aged care sector.
In her role as General Manager, People & Culture, Kylie is passionate about maintaining a workforce where people see a person’s heart and that our differences are just part of the package of who we are. Outside her busy work life, Kylie is known for her nifty needle skills, frequently creating beautiful crochet creations!
Chief Operations Officer
Adam joined Civic in 2019 as COO, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the NFP sector.
Adam’s role is to create a sustainable operating model that delivers exceptional value to Civic and its customers within the parameters of Civic’s risk appetite, strategy and brand. “My aim is to embed a customer and employee experience culture,” he says. If he’s not at work, Adam can often be found supporting the local footy team.
Civic’s Board bring a range of specialist skills, experience and knowledge to Civic. They have interesting backgrounds and utilise their own sector expertise to set the strategic direction of Civic.
Dunstan De Souza
Admitted to the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of NSW, Dunstan has been a practising solicitor for more than 30 years.

As a Chartered Accountant, Michael has more than 30 years of experience in the profession, specialising in taxation and business services across a broad industry base.
Glenn brings his business and community experience to the role of Director. He is CEO of the Coleman Group and a Property Developer specialising in affordable housing.

Kelly has been recognised for her contribution to aeronautics and specialises in strategy development and fostering leadership potential.
Peter served as a Civic Director from 1996 to 2008 and was reappointed in 2011. He brings his vast experience as a Councillor in Sutherland Shire and Sydney County Councils, as well as involvement in Rotary.
