A management professional with more than 20 years’ experience, including the last eight years in NFP disability. Annie encourages her team at Civic to not just think outside the box, but to challenge how we think, imagine, and navigate alternative perspectives. “Our purpose anchors us and we always have a guiding star to ensure we stay true to our moral compass.” Annie is also known as an adventurer and keen beekeeper, giving away her delicious honey for free!
Chief Operating Officer
Kate brings with her more than 20 years’ senior experience in the NFP sector. Kate is responsible for leading discovery and innovation through human-centered design, telling the story through marketing, comms and partnerships and creating moments that matter through customer experience for people with a disability. Just as she’s recognised for her passion for work, Kate is equally known for her killer knowledge of musicals and insatiable appetite for Fishermans’ Friends.
General Manager Infrastructure
A social impact and for-purpose professional working to build capability among teams and organisations to better achieve impact for their beneficiaries.
Dani’s expertise includes ecosystem analysis, designing to deliver social impact, corporate strategy development, facilitation and culture change projects.
Dani loves to explore big ideas for bold change, and develop realistic plans for consistent implementation.
A marketing and communications specialist with more than 15 years’ experience, Lizzy is skilled at using strategy to help purpose-driven organisations bring their big ideas – their brand – to life.
Professional, hardworking, and detail-oriented, her goal is to ensure Civic’s company mission and values are reflected at every stage of the customer journey.
General Manager, Risk, Safeguarding and Outcomes
Servena is an experienced sector leader, committed to inclusive policies and practices where participation is at the heart of service design and delivery. She joined Civic in June 2022 and brings with her almost 30 years working across the social services sector in a mix of service types, organisations, and roles. With roots in practice, she has held numerous roles and portfolios including service design, delivery and evaluation, quality, risk and safeguarding, customer experience and organisational transformation and change. A proud first nations woman, Servena has contributed to culturally specific and inclusive practices, services, strategies, and evidencing their impact. She holds qualifications in social services, quality, leadership, change and business.
General Manager Industries
Peter joined Civic in 2015 and has over 20 years’ experience in logistics and warehousing.
Peter is passionate about creating meaningful roles for individuals with disability.
Carrie has a Bachelor of Arts (Welfare Studies) and is a self-motivated student- being curious, meeting to learn and understanding how the client and staff experience leads to quality outcomes.
Carrie joined Civic in December 2015 and has over 27 years’ experience in the disability industry and more than nine years in quality, risk and safety management systems in disability organisations.
Carrie loves to challenge the notion that risk, quality and safety can be seen as “the fun police”. Instead she see’s quality, risk and safety as a discovery process to find the potential in people, practice and processes, and doesn’t wait for audits or inspections to drive and support continuous improvement in developing and delivering quality outcomes and services.
General Manager, Community
Kathryn joined Civic in July 2022 and is responsible to lead Civics’ Community Based Support Programs and Kitchen and Catering social enterprise.
Kathryn brings 15 years of experience in the NFP sector across various roles in service delivery, senior leadership, organisational change, project management, service design and innovation.
Kathryn is also a qualified chef with over 10 years hospitality experience in cafes, restaurants, event centres and catering.
With a diverse skill set in social services and hospitality Kathryn is passionate about supporting people to explore their potential, build capability, reflect on practice, and listen for shared understanding to ensure no opportunity is overlooked.
Human Resources Manager
Kimberley is a passionate, strategic and operational Human Resources Professional with experience working across a broad range of industries including aged care, disability, design and build, technology, retail, food manufacturing and fast-moving consumer goods.
Kimberley’s expertise includes partnering with the Executive Team, Senior Managers and all other stakeholders to spearhead HR best practice and align the HR agenda to the overall business strategy whilst ensuring Leaders and the larger workforce are living our values, are aligned with our culture and are capable of delivering on business objectives.
Kimberley likes to foster and cultivate a culture of capability and innovation and whose approach has also led to proven success in driving cultural change programs.
Impact and Design Lead
Lauren Roberts is the Impact and Design Manager, and a proud member of the organisation for six years. With a background in applied psychology and Human Centred Design, Lauren is responsible for nurturing ideas development, supporting strategy, and facilitating all forms of collaboration at Civic. Lauren is especially passionate about unlocking human systems as a key to change, and believes that we can all play a part in disrupting the barriers to total wellbeing for everyone, through the power of innovation, advocacy, and inclusive design
Clinical Services Manager
Rebecca is a Clinical Services Manager in Complex Care with over 20 years’ experience as a highly qualified nursing professional and an extensive background in Critical Care, and a wide range of leadership experience across both the public health and disability sectors. Rebecca has been part of the Civic team since October 2018, as head of Clinical leading a multi-disciplinary team responsible for facilitating clinical services and support that are person centred with a strong health and wellbeing focus.
Civic’s Board bring a range of specialist skills, experience and knowledge to Civic. They have interesting backgrounds and utilise their own sector expertise to set the strategic direction of Civic.

Admitted to the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of NSW, Dunstan has been a practising solicitor for more than 30 years.

As a Chartered Accountant, Michael has more than 30 years of experience in the profession, specialising in taxation and business services across a broad industry base.
Glenn brings his business and community experience to the role of Director. He is CEO of the Coleman Group and a Property Developer specialising in affordable housing.

Peter served as a Civic Director from 1996 to 2008 and was reappointed in 2011. He brings his vast experience as a Councillor in Sutherland Shire and Sydney County Councils, as well as involvement in Rotary.

A Director since 2018. Sue brings over 30 years of management experience across Customer Experience programs, Customer Service and Commercial leadership predominantly in the healthcare industry. Sue currently works as Customer Experience Systems Solution & Deployment Lead Asia Pacific at Johnson & Johnson and is co-lead for the ANZ chapter of the employee resource group focusing on Alliance for People with Diverse Abilities, a committee member of the global ADA and a member of the Mental Health Diplomats.
