A day of discovery at La Perouse

The participants from our Memorial Community Hub recently enjoyed a fantastic day out at La Perouse, proving once again that every day is a learning day. The day began with a scenic stroll along the wharf and a classic seaside lunch of fish and chips on the beach – the perfect start to a day of community connection.

The true highlight, however, was the visit to the newly reopened La Perouse Museum. Our participants were deeply engaged, stopping at various displays to ask questions and dive into the local history. The Aboriginal History displays were a particular focal point; the group spent a significant amount of time admiring the artefacts and reading the stories of the area.

Visits like these are invaluable, as they allow our participants to foster a deeper, more meaningful sense of belonging and connection with the Land and Country.
