Industry News: Campaign Launched to Warn of Impact of NDIS Cuts

National Disability Services (NDS), the peak body for disability service providers, this week launched a national campaign calling on all NDIS services providers, their workforce and NDIS customers to work together to keep the NDIS strong.

The “teamwork works” campaign follows the release of the False Economy report which shows that the National Disability Insurance Scheme is delivering $2.25 to the Australian economy for every dollar being spent.

National Disability Services President, Rohan Braddy, said the report reinforced how the NDIS has been a transformative economic and social reform which is delivering for all Australians.

The campaign will aim to educate and warn the public that weakening the NDIS will have devastating impacts on the people with disability, their families and carers, the workers that support them and the Australian economy – which is bad for every Australian.
